2017 PGA Championship TV schedule: Coverage and start time for Saturday's round
Phil Mickelson is out as play continues at the PGA Championship.
The 2017 PGA Championship third round will take place on Saturday, and it will do so without some of the biggest names in the sport of golf, including Phil Mickelson and John Daly.
But first, we need the conclusion of the second round, thanks to poor weather conditions at Quail Hollow Club on Friday. The third round is set to begin at 9:50 a.m.
Television coverage will go from 11 a.m. through 2 p.m. on TNT, and then will take place on CBS from 2 p.m. through 7 p.m. Live streaming of the round can be found at the PGA Championship website beginning at 11 a.m., as well as at the official PGA Championship app on smartphones and other devices. Those streams should cover the action when TNT is not broadcasting.
Mickelson shot a 79 in the first round without making a single birdie, and a 74 on Friday couldn’t save him. He finished 11-over par and has now missed his first cut at the PGA Championship since 1995, 22 years ago.
For the second-straight year but just the third time in his career, he’s missed two major cuts in the same season.
