[Men's Golf] Evangels Finish 13th at the U.C. Ferguson Classic

4.13.10 - Oklahoma City, Okla. - The Mid-America Christian University men's golf team posted a 326 in the final round at the U.C. Ferguson Classic hosted by Oklahoma City University to finish in 13th place with a 951 three-round total at Lincoln Park Golf Course.

The Tournament host, Oklahoma City University, took home to title with an 848 three round total. The Stars also had the top finisher with Michael Palmer claiming the crown, closing the classic with a 210.

James Wiginton turned in the top score for MACU, carding a 77 in the final round with a 238 three round total, finishing in a tie for 55th.

Sophomores Karl Griffith and Matt Costilow were among the players tied for 57th place at 239. Griffith finished with an 80, while Costilow carded an 84.

Cody Mosley ended the tournament in 61st, posting an 88 on the final day with 242 for the tournament.

Freshman Jacob McElhany rounded out the five with an 85 on the final day, wrapping up the tournament with a 244 overall in a tie for 64th.

Competing individually, Weston Wright ended the tournament with a 250, tied for 69th. Senior Andrew Shepard finishes the tournament with a 257; tied for 71st. Shepard ends his college golf career as the first four year golfer at MACU.

The Evangels will wrap up their season April 19th and 20th at the Sooner Athletic Conference tournament.
