Sports Illustrated Trolls Trump Over Fake Time Magazine Cover
Sports Illustrated just added itself to a long list of companies who have used their platform to poke fun at Donald Trump as the magazine trolled the POTUS via a savage tweet on Tuesday.
The mockery came after The Washington Post revealed that Trump had displayed fake framed Time Magazine covers with his face on them at several of his golf courses.
The Trump issue contains “several small but telling mistakes” that out it as a fake — such as erroneous text placement and too-narrow border width — says the Post.

Sports Illustrated, which is also owned by publisher Time Inc., decided to insert itself into the mix and have a little fun, with the official Twitter account posting a not-so-subtle jab at the president.

“Put yourself on the cover of SI. We won’t tell anyone it’s fake,” Sports Illustrated tweeted, accompanying the text with a blank magazine cover template. Adding in a bit of extra shade, S.I. concluded its post with a winking face.
Trump himself has not responded to the tweet. Perhaps if the magazine is lucky, its cheeky tweet won’t get it #BlockedByTrump.
