Golfer Justin Thomas was in an unprecedented zone Saturday, shooting a nine-under-par 63 to take the lead heading into the final round of the 117th United States Open Championship at Erin Hills in Wisconsin.
Thomas capped his performance, which set a record for strokes under par in a round at a U.S. Open, with an eagle at the 18th and final hole, but the most memorable part of his round came earlier in the day, when he hit an insane, miniature-golf inspired birdie putt at the 5th hole from off the green that started uphill and curved at a nearly 90-degree angle straight toward the pin, dropping in the hole.
