Three golfers share lead at St. Jude Classic

Stewart Cink — who shared the first-round lead with Matt Every, Scott Brown and Muñoz — was one stroke back after his 68 at the PGA Tour’s final event before the U.S. Open.

Reavie, who started two strokes behind the co-leaders, had three birdies on the front nine and an eagle on the par-5 No. 16, landing his second shot fewer than 15 feet from the flag and sinking the putt.

“There’s no way that I can change my mind-set and go out there and try and make pars — I won’t win the golf tournament if I do that,” Reavie said.

Sharp double-bogeyed the third hole at Whistle Bear Golf Club and then came back with an eagle on the par-5 ninth and had a run of three birdies on the back nine.

Bernhard Langer is on quite a roll as he tries to become the first player in seven years to win three straight PGA Tour Champions events.

After one round of the Principal Charity Classic in Des Moines, Iowa, he’s tied for the lead with two golfers who’ve never won on the senior circuit.

Langer won the previous two tournaments, both majors, and is seeking to become the first on the 50-and-over tour with three consecutive wins since Fred Couples in 2010.

Chile’s Felipe Aguilar followed up his strong start with a 2-under 70 to retain a two-stroke lead after the second round of the Lyoness Open in Atzenbrugg, Austria.
