The Jimmy Bruen Cup proved a bridge too far for our guys this year. We came up against a very strong Borris team, who dispatched our team on a scoreline of 2 1/2 to 1 1/2. Shay Kennedy and Colum Lynch produced Rory inspired golf to win at home, while Tom Coogan and Jim Dunne were unsuccessful in Castlecomer. In the away matches Mark Shortall and Ciaran Kelly were beaten on 18 while Kieran Byrne and John Joe Buggy halved their match.
