Chen takes Route 66 to make move

Danang, Vietnam, March 8: Chen Xingtong fired her best round of five-under-par 66 to jump 11 places up the leaderboard after the third round of the Women’s Amateur Asia-Pacific Championship on Saturday.

The 16-year-old’s carded rounds of 70, 73 and 66 to head into the final round of the championship in tied-19th place, 11 shots behind Malaysian leader Jeneath Wong, who returned with the day’s lowest score of 64 at the at Hoiana Shores Golf Club.

Inez Ng, meanwhile, traded four birdies against one bogey and a double-bogey for a 70 to stay one shot back of Chen in a share of 23rd place
