German professional League club Bayern Munich have confirmed that France international Benjamin Pavard will be joining them from July 1, 2019.

Bayern Munich took to social media on Wednesday, January 9, to announce the latest development after they activated the Stuttgart defender's €35 million release clause.

The 22-year-old right back played six matches for France at the World Cup including the 4-2 win over Croatia in the final of the championship.

Pavard scored a fantastic goal for France against Argentina in the round of 16 encounter which was voted as the best goal of the tournament.

Wednesday's official announcement by Bayern Munich means Benjamin Pavard will complete the ongoing season with Stuttgart and will leave when this term comes to an end.

Bayern are currently on their annual winter training camp in Doha as they prepare for the second half of the Bundesliga campaign.
