For the very first time since 1938, no British referee will be allowed to officiate at the 2018 FIFA World Cup which will be held in Russia this summer.
World football governing body have chosen 36 officials for the tournament in Russia, but none from England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland.
Referee Mark Clattenburg was the only Briton on Fifa's long list of officials, but he has forfeited his place after leaving the Premier League for a move to Saudi Arabia.
The English Football Association were also said to have asked FIFA to replace him with another official but they rejected their request.
England's Howard Webb was Britain's sole representative at the last two World Cups in 2010 and 2014.
He took charge of the 2010 final when Spain beat the Netherlands in South Africa.

Also, there are no British officials among the 63 assistant referees selected for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
Meanwhile, the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia will kick off on June 14 and will come to an end on July 15. Germany are the defending champions of the championship.
