DARTS BATTLE PAST EBBSFLEET UTD WOMEN TO REMAIN IN THE TITLE RACE WITH TWO GAMES TO GO!

London and South East Regional Women’s Premier League, played on Wednesday, 29th April 2026.

The Darts Women were back in action on Wednesday night, following last week’s Kent Cup Final victory against Chatham Town Women FC.

Another crucial game for the Darts, who headed into this knowing only a victory would keep them in the title race with only a couple of games to go.

The Darts began the game brightly and went close to scoring early in the first half. In the 13th minute, a free kick from defender Abbey Davies came back off the crossbar.

They continued to dominate the early exchanges in this contest and went close again midway through the half. In the 27th minute, the ball dropped to Paris Smith on the edge of the box. The shot from the Darts forward went narrowly past the post.

The Darts were ahead minutes later after a goal of real quality. In the 31st minute, Abbey Davies crossed to find Paris Smith in the box. A fine finish from the Darts striker into the top corner put the Darts ahead.

They doubled the lead minutes later as in the 33rd minute, Abbey Davies with a free kick from distance doubled the lead for the Darts.

They went close again to adding to the tally in the first minute of added time. Abbey Davies with a super cross into the Ebbsfleet box. Mercedes Bromfield rose highest in the box and headed towards goal, which went just over.

The Darts began the second half looking for goal number three and it came their way early in the second period. In the 55th minute, a corner from the right eventually saw the ball drop to Xayla-Rae Alberts. The Darts captain fired home emphatically to put the game beyond doubt.

The team continued to dominate the chances created and went close to goal number four just before the hour mark. In the 59th minute, Molly Smith did superbly to control the ball on the edge of the box, the shot on the half turn from the Darts forward went just over the crossbar.

Ebbsfleet began to rally midway through the second half and went close to getting a goal back midway through the half. In the 63rd minute, Lauren Nicholls got in behind the Darts defence, the shot easily gathered by Jade Charlton.

The Fleet did get a goal back late on. In the 78th minute, a shot from distance from Jade Magero caught Darts keeper Harriet Kwok out. The shot from Magero nestled in the corner of the goal to get one goal back for the Fleet.

This setback seemed to rejuvenate the Darts and they went close to restoring the three goal lead minutes later. In the 79th minute, Lottie Cunningham shot inside the box forcing another fine save from O’Neil in the Ebbsfleet goal.
