As reported by TMW and other Italian sources, both players have suffered sprain injuries, which leave them in doubt for Sunday’s big game at the Stadio Olimpico against Napoli.
The good news for Roma is that exams have ruled out serious ligament problems, but tomorrow’s training session will determine whether the duo will be available against Antonio Conte’s men.
Roma and Napoli injuries in central midfield
Neil El Aynaoui has problems with his left knee, while Kone has a knock on the right ankle.
Napoli will also travel to the capital with several absentees in central midfield as Scott McTominay, Stanislav Lobotka and Eljif Elmas will be the only available players in the middle of the park for Conte.
