Cleveland Radio Host Issues Strong Take On Bill Belichick Possibly Coaching Browns

One of the major storylines of the upcoming NFL offseason is whether former New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick will return to the league.

Belichick is currently the head coach of North Carolina, but there’s a possibility he might make a quick exit and return to coaching in the NFL again.

If NFL teams are interested in Belichick, the Browns could be a possible destination. ESPN Cleveland radio host Tony Rizzo expressed a strong desire to see Belichick return to Cleveland.

“I’d go pick him up in North Carolina,” Rizzo said on Tuesday during “The Tony Rizzo Show”.

Belichick already coached Cleveland once from 1991 to 1995. He finished with a 36-44 record and achieved a winning percentage above .500 once, in 1994, when the Browns went 11-5.

The Browns ended up moving to Baltimore in 1996, and owner Art Modell fired Belichick in February of 1996 before ever coaching the Ravens.

As of Tuesday, the Browns currently have a head coach in Kevin Stefanski, but Cleveland is off to a 2-7 start, and there’s a chance the Browns could fire him at the end of the season if things don’t turn around.

It will be interesting to see if the Browns part ways with Stefanski and decide to reach out to Belichick.
