Fans React To Unconscionably High Price Tag For World Series Game 7 Tickets
If you happen to be in Toronto on Saturday and have an extra $190,000 to spare, you might as well get a third-row seat to Game 7 of the World Series between the Blue Jays and Los Angeles Dodgers.
Baseball fans are going wild on social media right now over an alleged price tag for a pair of seats behind the plate at Rogers Centre for Game 7: $189.3K, according to a post from X user @Troydan.
With no discernible evidence suggesting that the post is exaggerating, plenty of fans have taken the opportunity to weigh in on the exorbitant price tag for the Game 7 tickets.
“For 189k you better get an at bat,” @Weipanux wrote.
User @K!NGart1186 concocted a foolproof fiscal plan to pay for the tix: “Just take out a 400K Loan. Buy the tickets. Put the rest of the $211,000 on the Dodgers. Pay off the Tickets and the Loan after the Dodgers win. You’re welcome.”
Meanwhile, one mathematically-inclined X user figured out how expensive the tickets are on a per-minute basis.
Thankfully, the World Series promises to be an entertaining affair from all angles, including for the millions of fans who will be watching the do-or-die contest on television.
