Liverpool Look Rubbish — And Villa Are Coming for Them Tonight

Tonight we head to Anfield, after all the noise that surrounds Liverpool. They’ll be expecting more of the usual: the singing, the assertiveness, the sense that their stadium is some hallowed ground where visitors just roll over. Fair enough. But those days appear to be fading fast.

Liverpool have slipped. They’ve lost four consecutive Premier League matches, conceding goals; they seem to be all over the place. Their confidence looks shot. Right now, Liverpool look shaky. Meanwhile, we have been gathering momentum. That win over Manchester City showed real steel. So yes, even though the bookies have them as favourites, I feel that this one could be ours to take.

Villa will go to Merseyside with plenty of belief, organisation, and the sort of work rate that our current form is showing. If we can spoil Liverpool’s early intensity, and let’s be honest, they’re not exactly looking elite, a very good result could come Villa’s way.

Liverpool have been a fantastic side. But tonight? We’re coming into your house. We’re not staying quiet. We’re not in awe. We believe we can beat you tonight. And if you’re not at your best, you’ll get found out. The Liverpool legacy counts for nothing; form, momentum, and belief will matter more tonight. And right now, Villa have the upper hand, while you’re limping.

You are the bookies’ favourites; we’re not here to gloat before the first whistle, maybe just a little. But let there be no doubt, we believe we can win tonight. Liverpool will hope to rediscover themselves, but we aim to impose our will to win on the game. We look sharper right now. This is a match Villa supporters should relish. And Liverpool supporters should be a little nervous. UTV
