All smiles for Spiders selfies after open training session

0 4

QUEEN’S PARK supporters were given a peek behind the curtain this afternoon and watched the first-team hard at work.

Sean Crighton re-located training from Lochinch and welcomed fans through the doors of The city Stadium to watch a full training session from the squad.

After a warm-up of foam rolling, stretches and other activation exercises the players went through a quick reaction test before taking to the pitch.

oversaw some running drills in front of the east stand as supporters cheered on three different teams in their exercises.

After that it was onto ball-work with rondos and other variations before the squad linked up with Dave Scott and the goalkeepers for more work at the Somerville Drive end of the ground.

The active session ended with small-sided games and a meet and greet with the players.

Supporters grabbed selfies with the staff and squad, who had had their team picture taken earlier in the day – and posters, footballs and shirts were also signed before a pop-up shop, including exclusive early access for the new-look training wear, opened in Bar 1867.

Thank you to everyone who attended, we hope to see you back at The city Stadium again soon.
