Tottenham eyeing additions in three more positions after Morgan Gibbs-White
Thomas Frank’s men are far from done strengthening their squad this summer, according to Ben Jacobs, who has named three positions where the Lilywhites are still looking for additions.
Spurs have secured Mathys Tel in a permanent deal from Bayern Munich, and have subsequently added Kota Takai and Mohammed Kudus to their squad.
Tottenham are now working to get the Morgan Gibbs-White deal over the line, with the Lilywhites hoping to make the Nottingham Forest star their fourth signing of the summer.
It has now been claimed that the North Londoners still want to add reinforcements in several areas across the pitch ahead of Thomas Frank’s first season in charge.
Tottenham want three more signings after Morgan Gibbs-White
Ben Jacobs has now said on the Last Word on Spurs podcast that the Lilywhites are still scouring the market for options in three positions.
He says that Tottenham Hotspur are keen on adding a number six to their squad as well as another forward, which will not surprise Spurs fans.
However, curiously, Jacobs adds that the North Londoners have also ruled out adding another centre-back to their squad, even though Cristian Romero appears set to stay.
Thomas Frank may have hinted at the formation he wants to employ
Tottenham already have Romero, Micky van de Ven, Radu Dragusin, Kevin Danso, Ben Davies and Kota Takai in their squad, in addition to highly-rated youngster Luka Vuskovic.
If Frank wants to bring another centre-back through the door, that could be clear evidence that he plans to employ a back three.
It is also possible that Tottenham may be just looking for a centre-back in case they lose Romero, with reports over the last week indicating that Real Madrid could turn their attention to the Spurs vice-captain.
