Hibs Women return to Meadowbank Stadium for the first time ahead of the 2025/26 campaign!

The SWPL Champions host ScottishPower Women’s Premier League 2 side Boroughmuir Thistle on Sunday 20 July; 1pm kick-off.

The Lowdown

Grant Scott’s Hibs squad features a few fresh faces, with Hannah Jordan and Tiree Burchill available to play for the first time in front of their new supporters.

Fellow summer signing Caley Gibb, who returns to EH7 following a successful short loan spell at the tailend of last season, is also available to feature.

The match will be a great opportunity for Hibees to see the team in action for the first time this season - including a number of youth stars as a couple of First Team players recover - after a few weeks of pre-season preparations at HTC. 

The Visitors

SWPL2 outfit Boroughmuir Thistle head into the new season following a strong 2024/25 campaign, in which they finished third. 

The Edinburgh club were pipped to second spot by Kilmarnock while finishing seven points behind champions Hamilton Academical. 

Thistle faced off against Hibs in a pre-season friendly last June at Meadowbank, with the Hibees emerging as 6-0 winners on the day.

Mya Christie, Kirsty Morrison and Lia Tweedie all got on the scoresheet, while there was a sign of things to come as Kathleen McGovern netted a hat-trick.

Kick-off is at 1pm on Sunday 20 July at Meadowbank Stadium.
