Ben joins the Reserves for new season

WE are pleased to welcome defender Ben Hoban to the Reserve team squad.

Currently captain of The Steven Gerrard Academy in Chester, Ben is a strong, confident central defender who reads the game very well. He has been with Flint Town United FC Academy for the past seven seasons joining at the age of 10 years old.

He made one senior appearance for Flint as a substitute in the Nathaniel MG Cup and included in The Silkmen’s matchday squad in the JD Cymru Premier on a number of occasions last season.

Ben said: “I’m looking forward to the journey ahead, getting settled in and contributing everything I can to the team.”

Head coach Paul Roberts said:” I’m really happy to bring Ben in from Flint. This is a very exciting signing for the club he will bring quality and leadership and another lad who will take us to that next level.”
