U18 Face Leeds United In Friendly

0 2

The wee Hibees are in action in midweek with a cross-border friendly with Leeds United U18s!

THE LOWDOWN

The Hibs youngsters travel south on Wednesday to face a Leeds United Academy side at the Thorp Arch Training Ground; kick-off at 2pm.

Darren McGregor is using the match as a good opportunity to get more minutes into the legs of his youngsters during a week free of competitive fixtures. The wee Hibees have played all their pre-split league fixtures (20 matches) and are now awaiting their full post-split fixture schedule.

The Hibees currently lead the way at the top of the CAS Elite League with 43 points – two points clear of Rangers, however, the Gers have three games in hand.

THE HOSTS

Leeds United U18s play their football in the U18 Premier League South. The Whites are currently bottom of the table, with seven points after 15 games.

Their U18 side were in action on Monday night, losing 6-2 to Blackburn – so the hosts will likely use this fixture as an opportunity to rotate their team.

The match kicks off at 2pm on Wednesday 26 February!
