Tottenham star Dominic Solanke has outperformed every other summer signing so far in the Premier League this season, according to Whoscored’s data.

Dominic Solanke had to deal with the pressure of a big price tag when he first arrived at Tottenham, but he now looks tailor-made for Ange-ball.
It would not be an exaggeration to say that many pundits and fans were waiting to stick the knife into the centre-forward, having written him off before he even kicked a ball.
However, the 26-year-old has managed to win over the Tottenham fan base quickly, demonstrating with his all-round play just why Ange Postecoglou was so keen to bring him through the door.
Dominic Solanke is the best among the summer signings
Solanke has found the back of the net six times for Tottenham so far, with four of those goals coming in the Premier League.
However, it has been his work out of possession that has particularly stood out, with the centre-forward pressing like a monster for 90 minutes and helping the Lilywhites turn over the ball in the final third time and again.
Among all the new recruits in the Premier League this summer, the former Bournemouth man has the highest rating, with an average performance rating of 7.3.
Solanke’s critics have gone quiet
A sizable section of the Spurs fan base was extremely critical of Tottenham’s recruitment department and Daniel Levy for choosing to sign Solanke over Ivan Toney.
As usual, rather than admitting that they were wrong and learning lessons from their tendency to jump to conclusions, they have just moved on to their next targets, now lambasting the likes of Timo Werner.
Spurs’ recruitment under this new regime has generally been excellent, and there is no reason to think that Wilson Odobert, Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall won’t prove to be astute additions if given time.
