Predicted Tottenham XI to face Qarabag in Europa League – Mikey Moore starts

0 4

Tottenham Hotspur host Qarabag in their League Phase opener in the Europa League this evening as they look to get off to a positive start in Europe.

Tottenham Hotspur vs Qarabag

Much like the win over Coventry City (albeit a narrow victory), we believe that Ange Postecoglou will ring the changes for Tottenham’s mid-week fixture ahead of Manchester United away at the weekend.

Fraser Forster starts between the sticks as he did last week in the Carabao Cup, with Guglielmo Vicario dropping to the bench for a rest.

Ben Davies and Archie Gray replace Destiny Udogie and Pedro Porro in the inverted wing-back roles, although both the first-choice options will be on the bench if needed.

In the centre of defence, Cristian Romero is suspended from a Champions League match two years ago, meaning Radu Dragusin gets a chance to start alongside Micky Van de Ven.

In the pivot role, Pape Matar Sarr is given a chance to impress over Yves Bissouma and Rodrigo Bentancur.

Dejan Kulusevski and Lucas Bergvall will provide the creative spark for Tottenham, although the likes of James Maddison, Bentancur and Bissouma are likely to appear off the bench if needed.

Up front, Heung-min Son remains on the left to add some seniority, while Dominic Solanke starts in the number nine role in the absence of Richarlison. Will Lankshear will also be hoping for some minutes though.

The big news comes on the right side of attack, as Brennan Johnson is handed a rest and Mikey Moore is handed his full Spurs debut at the age of 17.
