Big Part – Rangers New Boy Relishing European Clash

0 2

Rangers new boy Connor Barron has revealed that part of the reason he went to Ibrox was the chance to play European football and now he wants to get out there and show what he can do.

The Gers are set to take on Swedish side Malmo in their first Europa League match of the new season this evening.

It will be an opportunity for the summer signing to play his first European match for the Glasgow side and he cannot wait to enjoy the occasion.

According to the 22-year-old, a big part of him signing for Rangers was to play European football.

“I’m buzzing for it, a big part of coming to Rangers is playing European football”, Barron said at a press conference.

“We want to get out there and show what we can do.”

Rangers have been on a good run of form but Barron believes that it is just the start and they want to keep building and growing every week.

“[It] is another opportunity for us as a club to go and get three points.

“This is just the start, we are growing and building as a team each week.

“We know we are nowhere near the finished article but we keep building and growing every week.”

Rangers have dropped down to the Europa League after failing to get through to the Champions League group stages, losing to Dynamo Kyiv in the qualifiers.
