PL club ready to meet valuation, £30m Man Utd star moves closer to Old Trafford exit - report

0 5

Manchester United are on the brink of a transformative financial windfall with less than two weeks left in the transfer window.

United are planning to make two more signings before the window closes.

They are on the hunt for a new enforcer to anchor their midfield and ensure the engine room stays robust.

Manuel Ugarte is at the top of their transfer shortlist but United need funds to get him from Paris Saint-Germain.

According to Manchester World, Fulham are willing to match United’s £30 million asking price to sanction Scott McTominay’s exit.

The Cottagers have tabled two bids for McTominay, with their latest offer reaching £20 million. The Red Devils turned down both proposals.

It was reported yesterday that Fulham re-opened talks with United over the Scotland international.

United remain ‘hopeful’ of adding Ugarte to their squad by using the proceeds from McTominay’s sale.

Sofyan Amrabat, Martin Zubimendi and Youssouf Fofana have been linked with a move to Old Trafford but a deal for the Uruguay international seems more likely.

The report further suggest that McTominay is not the only United midfielder who could head out.

Ajax are eyeing a reunion with Christian Eriksen, while Hannibal Mejbri is also likely to leave. Spain and France are emerging as possible destinations for the Tunisia international.

Eriksen was an unused substitute in United’s 1-0 win over Fulham in the Premier League curtain-raiser.

Hannibal was not even selected to be a part of the matchday squad. The 20-year-old Toby Collyer has seemingly leapfrogged Hannibal and was chosen ahead of him.

It would be a massive win for INEOS if they can secure Ugarte this summer.

Casemiro’s decline last season was surprising and the club cannot risk him being a lone defensive midfielder for another campaign.
