Report: Three PL players Spurs could target following Postecoglou’s arrival

0 3

The Daily Mirror have revealed that Tottenham Hotspur have already identified three Premier League stars they could sign this summer ahead of Ange Postecoglou’s first season at the club.

Postecoglou was announced as Antonio Conte‘s replacement in N17 today, more than two months after the Italian left the North London club.

The Telegraph reported on Monday that following the Celtic boss’ arrival, Spurs are targetting a mass clear-out this summer, with as many as ten first-team players, including the likes of Hugo Lloris, Ivan Perisic, Davinson Sanchez, Harry Winks, Giovani Lo Celso, and Sergio Reguilon, expected to leave.

The Mirror have now suggested that Spurs have also identified three signings to bolster the squad as Postecoglou looks to reshape the side.

The report reveals that the Lilywhites will back the Australian with funds to spend this summer, with the club expected to make a move for Leicester City’s James Maddison.

In addition, it is asserted that Spurs could target Brentford’s David Raya as Lloris’ replacement while they are also contemplating a move for Wolves centre-back Max Kilman.

There is no doubt that Postecoglou would need a ball-playing goalkeeper and Raya would thus be an excellent fit.

While there are perhaps some question marks over Kilman’s defending, there is no doubt about his quality on the ball.

I also suspect that the Australian will be in favour of signing Lenglet permanently.
