Football Insider have claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are confident they will have a new manager in place by the time they begin pre-season training in July.

The Independent reported on Wednesday that Spurs aim to confirm a replacement for Antonio Conte within the next two weeks.

The publication explained that the North London club will step up their pursuit of Ange Postecoglou following Celtic‘s Scottish League Cup final on Saturday.

It was explained that although there are other candidates such as Roberto De Zerbi, Marco Silva and Graham Potter on the Lilywhites’ wishlist, the club view the Celtic head coach as a better fit.

Football Insider have now also named Postecoglou as one of the leading candidates to take over in N17, alongside Luis Enrique and Ruben Amorim, with the club now currently thought to be speaking to several candidates.

The report alleges that Daniel Levy is keen to take his time over an appointment as he recognises the need to install the right man.

However, despite the deliberate nature of the process, the Tottenham hierarchy are said to be confident that a new man will be in place before they begin pre-season training in July.

Spurs Web Opinion

Tottenham would have to have a new manager in place well before July in order to avoid losing ground to their rivals in the race for their transfer targets.

Most Premier League clubs would have already started laying the groundwork for summer deals, which is not something Spurs cannot do until a managerial appointment is confirmed.
