Napoli to compete with Liverpool and Newcastle United for Bundesliga striker

Serie A leaders Napoli will jostle with the Liverpool and Newcastle United for French international striker Marcus Thuram.
That is according to Corriere dello Sport via Inside Futbol, who say that the Borussia Monchengladbach forward will be the subject of multiple offers in January. His contract is up next summer and the 25-year-old is not expected to sign a new deal.
Mobile, strong and quick, Thuram stands out for his intelligent movement which can cause defences nightmares. He has shown his quality this season, scoring 13 goals and providing four assists in just 17 appearances this season. Napoli might struggle to offer similar financial packages to the Premier League duo, but Luciano Spalletti can potentially sell a title-winning team to Thuram. At the very least, the Partenopei look likely to to make the Champions League next season, which Newcastle United might not be able to offer. Equally, Thuram’s chances of playing regularly at Liverpool are slimmer than at Napoli.
