0 3

Arsenal are hopeful that Thomas Partey will be fit in time for the north London derby against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday lunchtime, according to Sky Sports News (27/09/22 at 11:10am / Football Daily).

The midfielder has headed off on international duty with Ghana but was forced to withdraw from the starting eleven against Brazil on Friday night during the warm-up after sustaining a minor knee issue.

He headed back to his club for treatment and will miss Ghana’s friendly in Nicaragua later this evening (talkSPORT).

Partey has impressed in the early part of the season in the heart of the Gunners midfield with Tottenham looking to knock their bitter rivals off top spot in the Premier League this weekend by taking victory at the Emirates.

Stopping Arsenal’s midfield players from having time on the ball will be crucial to their hopes of maintaining their unbeaten Premier League start.

In the same fixture last season, Spurs capitulated under Nuno Espirito Santo on their way to a 3-0 defeat and will be hoping that Antonio Conte has his players focused and ready to prove they should be taken seriously.
