FRIDAY ROUND-UP

0 1

Ok, so some of the international games have rolled so we’re getting little bits here and there from the players. This is from Tomi.

“What is required in this league is quite high and I’m not satisfied. When you look at the players selected as starters in the premier league games, you will understand what is required to be there. I will work hard in order to get my position back.”

LOVE that comment. I was told he’s a monster trainer and has an incredible attitude. He’s benched right now because Ben White has slipped into right back and made it really tough for Arteta to remove him. That said, there are going to be PLENTY of games to go around. We have 9 in October, 4 additional 90s before we go to the World Cup, those minutes can’t possibly all go to a small cast of characters unless Arteta wants serious trouble with injuries…

… and let’s be honest. We had a lot of injuries that were soft tissue, despite not playing a lot of games in the last 30 days. The manager has maybe been a little too keen behind the scenes because whatever is going on, we’re getting too many problems considering the fixtures. Mikel needs to sharpen up, we can’t be fluffing this season again because we couldn’t manage the fixtures of key names.

England announced their man of the year as Bukayo Saka, Harry Kane finished 3rd.  You can’t knock it, everyone loves the Arsenal star. He has some serious pull these days, which makes me anxious, because he has still not signed a new deal.

WHY?

William Saliba is also likely to start for France this evening because Kounde has picked up an injury. He has also NOT signed a new deal.

WHY?

Look at those numbers. Also worth me checking myself on his partner, hardly not doing the work with regards to elite output when moving forward with the ball? Just a shame Gabriel has a little too much of that chaos about his game.

Back to it, our two best young players need to put some INK on those deals. There are rumours that Bill Saliba is already signed until 2027, so we’ll see.

There has been a lot of chirping from American fans about their national team. There was a HUGE amount of disrespect sent our way over the Queen. Well, I hope all my American readers know that the English are watching, yep, even your game against Japan that you just lost 2-0 landing zero shots on target. Smacking up Trinidad & Tobago had you all dreaming of beating the English, let’s see where you are in a 2 months time, but right now, it’s looking bleak.

Right, that’s me done. Get on Patreon today for a JOHNNY C rap AND a new episode of Before the Whistle.
