How Arsenal could line-up at Bournemouth with Mikel Arteta set to name unchanged side as Smith Rowe fights for spot

ARSENAL are set to name an unchanged side for the third Premier League match in a row following their impressive start to the season.

The Gunners head into Saturday’s away clash against Bournemouth having won both of their opening two top-flight matches.

Mikel Arteta’s men outclassed Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park two weeks ago in their 2-0 win, before hitting Leicester for four at the Emirates last weekend.

Brazilian striker Gabriel Jesus got off the mark for the first time in Arsenal colours as he bagged a brace in the 4-2 win against the Foxes.

And his compatriot Gabriel Martinelli also got on the score sheet for the third game in a row going back to end of last campaign.

His fine form will likely see Emile Smith Rowe settle for a place on the bench again as he works towards his fitness.

The England international, 22, came on for the last six minutes in the win over Leicester, and he was given 45 minutes for the club’s Under-21s against Swansea on Wednesday.

Full-backs Takehiro Tomiyasu and Kieran Tierney also look set to miss out, despite the pair used off the bench last Saturday.

Arteta is keen not to rush the duo back into the line-up after they finished last term on the sidelines through injury.

Aaron Ramsdale will almost certainly keep his place between the sticks having established himself as the club’s No1 goalkeeper.

Ben White could start ahead of Japanese ace Tomiyasu at right-back, with Oleksandr Zinchenko to continue to be preferred over left-back Tierney.

William Saliba may once again partner Gabriel in the heart of defence having slotted seamlessly into the side after three loan spells away.

Thomas Partey should once again be deployed in defensive midfield, with skipper Martin Odegaard and Granit Xhaka to play as the two No8s in Arteta’s revamped system.

Despite not opening his account for the season yet, Bukayo Saka will surely start on the right wing, with Martinelli to feature on the opposite flank at the expense of Smith Rowe.

And Jesus will be tasked with leading the line as he looks to carry on his explosive start to life at Arsenal.
