Newcastle Better Option For Callum Hudson-Odoi Than Arsenal Feels Former Top Flight Star

0 16

Hudson-Odoi wants to clock up game-time on a regular basis this term, something which he has so far struggled to earn at Stamford Bridge under Thomas Tuchel.

The 21-year-old is linked with leaving Chelsea and is on the transfer radar of Premier League rivals Arsenal and Newcastle.

Ex-Magpies star Barnes is of the view that St James’ Park would be a better destination for the Blues star than the Emirates Stadium as he is nearly guaranteed regular game time under Eddie Howe.

Barnes added that Hudson-Odoi could find himself down the pecking order at Arsenal should he join, given that Mikel Arteta already has several quality options on the flanks.

Asked which among Newcastle and Arsenal would be a better destination for Hudson-Odoi, Barnes told Bonus Code Bets: “Once again I think it really depends if he wants to play week in and week out.

“Newcastle would be a better option if he wants to be a main player as he’s nearly guaranteed to start week in and week out, compared to Arsenal where you have [Bukayo] Saka, you have [Gabriel] Martinelli.

“He’ll have a lot of competition for a spot in the team.

“It depends on him and also if he wants to stay in London.

“If he wants to play regular football, I don’t think he’s going to get that at Arsenal.

“I think Newcastle would be a better option.

“It mainly depends on his ambitions.”

It remains to be seen where Hudson-Odoi ends up playing this season should he leave Chelsea, with it is claimed that at least ten clubs are interested in his services.
