Sky Sports reporter offers his understanding of Everton’s stance in Richarlison/Gordon double deal

0 2

Sky Sports reporter Alan Myers has taken to Twitter to share his understanding of Everton’s stance over the prospect of a double bid for Richarlison and Anthony Gordon.

Reports surfaced today from Sky Sports which claimed that Tottenham were targeting a double deal for the Toffees pair, with the Merseysiders anticipating a bid for both players could be made this week.

Myers claims that Everton have no appetite in being receptive to a double approach from any club for both players.

Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano revealed earlier today on the Que Golazo podcast (09:00) that Tottenham are set to make their first bid for Richarlison.

Goal reported that Spurs midfielder Harry Winks could be used as a makeweight in discussions over deals for Richarlison and Gordon, with the latter potentially available for around £25million.

Everton have some financial difficulties but it would seem unlikely they would be prepared to sanction the sales of both Richarlison and Gordon without suffering some heat from the Toffees supporters, especially having avoided relegation by the skin of their teeth

It seems at this stage that a move for Richarlison is a likelier deal to be done for Tottenham, although they need to watch over their shoulder for Chelsea who could also enter the race shortly.
