Whenever things go wrong at our club the manager gets criticism.

The owners get criticism.

The players get criticism.

Orta gets criticism.

But Angus Kinnear largely escapes because no one seems entirely sure what he does.

The KP transfer got me thinking.

I really struggle to see Victor Orta in a meeting room with the intelligent and financially well versed intermediaries of a millionaire footballer discussing the fine details of a multi million pound contract.

Orta is a football man for better or worse.

He is all passion and shouting and football power points and hugs and more shouting.

Things that will appeal to the simple footballer.

He isn't an accountant, he isn't a calm and rational man which you need to talk about money and contracts.

Angus Kinnear is.

He is more of a businessman, he is a boardroom talker all smarmy and posh suits and fancy lunches whilst discussing financial terms.

We know Orta is the transfer man.

But I really don't see him as the accountant, the money man.

Does Kinnear deserve more scrutiny because he must do something?
