Report: Spurs tracking £21.2m-rated French striker – Arsenal and Man Utd also interested

0 6

Tottenham are alongside Arsenal and Manchester United in tracking Lyon striker Moussa Dembele, according to Foot Mercato.

The 25-year-old recently came off his most productive campaign to date in his career, scoring 22 goals across all competitions for Les Gones (Transfermarkt).

However, his campaign has now put him on the map ahead of the opening of the transfer window, particularly as he approaches the final year of his Lyon contract (Transfermarkt).

Foot Mercato note that Dembele has plenty of suitors in the Premier League, with Spurs named next to Arsenal and United in holding an interest in the Frenchman.

The report adds Lyon, who are well aware of the contract situation, may consider a sale this summer in the region of £21.2 million (€25m) to avoid losing him as a free agent next June.

But crucially, it is added that Dembele is not currently pushing to leave the Ligue 1 side but is still open to listening to potential offers that may come his way.

Dembele already has experience playing in the United Kingdom after shining with Fulham in the Championship and having two successful seasons in Scotland at Celtic.

Spurs Web Opinion

Dembele put together a very strong campaign for Lyon over the season and him having a year remaining on his contract will mean he is likely to be in demand.

The reported price tag seems pretty reasonable too, considering he had a prolific season and he could be someone Spurs pursue to add depth and support for Harry Kane.
