Report: Spurs preparing ‘big money’ move for playmaker; new owner not keen on sale

0 0

Tottenham Hotspur are preparing a ‘big-money’ move for Hull City starlet Keane Lewis-Potter, according to Hull Live.

After taking League One by storm last campaign and helping Hull win promotion, Lewis-Potter has continued impressing in the Championship this season.

The winger has six goals and four assists to his name across all competitions so far this campaign (Transfermarkt).

The report claims that Brentford saw an £8m bid rejected for Lewis-Potter in the summer and Spurs are now leading the race for the 20-year-old but face competition from West Ham and Leicester City.

It is said that Antonio Conte’s men are keen to make an offer for Lewis-Potter before the transfer deadline closes and would be willing to loan him back to Hull for the remainder of the season.

The Tigers, who are under new ownership, are reluctant to sell and are said to be unlikely to consider doing business for anything less than £14m.

Finally, the report suggests that while Lewis-Potter is keen on making the step up to the Premier League, he is relaxed about the situation and is not pushing for a move.

Spurs Web Opinion

Lewis-Potter is very talented and looks like he has a high ceiling. However, one would hope that Spurs are looking at the youngster as one for the future rather than as an alternative to Luis Diaz. If it is the latter, the 20-year-old would be an underwhelming signing for sure.
