Report: Spanish club interested in £27.2m Tottenham international
Football.London’s Alasdair Gold has revealed that Sevilla are interested in signing Tottenham midfielder Giovani Lo Celso, who was left out of Antonio Conte’s matchday squad against Chelsea.
Lo Celso’s opportunities have been few and far between under Conte, with the Argentine not being helped with his injury issues (Transfermarkt).
However, it still came as a surprise when the 25-year-old did not even make the bench for Tottenham’s trip to Stamford Bridge, with Conte naming academy graduate Harvey White among the substitutes instead.
The Argentine revealed on his Instagram story ahead of kick-off that his omission from the London derby was not injury-related, insisting that he was 100 percent fit for the clash.

When asked about Lo Celso’s absence after his side’s 2-0 loss to Chelsea, Conte chose to keep his cards close to his chest, simply stating that the question had to be answered by ‘the club’ (Football London).
If Gold’s latest update is to be believed, Lo Celso could be on his way out out of Spurs over the coming days.
The journalist revealed that Sevilla are looking to take the Tottenham man back to La Liga before the window slams shut.
Lo Celos had previously played in Spain for Real Betis, before initially moving to Spurs on loan and the north Londoners decided to make the deal permanent in January 2020 for a £27.2million fee (BBC).
Spurs have conducted business with Sevilla within the past year, following the deal that saw Bryan Gil move to England and Erik Lamela head in the other direction.

One would assume that Spurs would not let all three of Dele, Ndombele and Lo Celso leave this month unless they have some midfield reinforcements lined up. So, the final week of the window could end up being quite frantic for the North Londoners, both in terms of incomings and departures.
