Report: Tottenham man rejects transfer to Serie A club

0 4

According to CalcioMercato, Tanguy Ndombele, who is thought to be surplus to requirements for Antonio Conte at Tottenham, has rejected the chance to join Napoli this month.

Ndombele is reportedly training on his own at the moment at Hotspur Way, with Conte allegedly having misgivings about the midfielder’s attitude and his unwillingness to work hard for the team (The Athletic).

Spurs are thought to be keen on moving the 25-year-old on from the club this month, either on loan or a permanent transfer (Fabrizio Romano).

It was previously reported by Calcio Mercato that Jose Mourinho was keen on reuniting Ndombele at AS Roma while Juventus and Napoli had also expressed an interest in the Tottenham man.

However, if CalcioMercato’s latest update is to be believed, Napoli have suffered a blow in their attempt to sign Ndombele.

The report alleges that the Serie A club made a loan offer for the French international but the player turned down the chance of moving to Naples.

Spurs Web Opinion

I suspect Tottenham will have an extremely hard time selling Ndombele unless they subsidise a significant portion of his wages. The 25-year-old does not look particularly bothered about making the most out of his talent. So, he might be happy to stay at Spurs and collect his bumper salary.
