Spurs player ratings: Romero impresses, but Son and Kane struggle vs West Ham
Tottenham’s losing run in London derbies continued on Sunday following a 1-0 defeat at West Ham thanks to Michail Antonio’s late winner.
Here’s how every Tottenham player rated on the day.
Hugo Lloris, 7 – Came off his line well, but could do nothing about the goal.
Emerson Royal, 6 – Defended decently on the whole, but offered little going forward.
Cristian Romero, 8 – Tottenham’s best player on the day. Dominated Antonio for the most part and certainly didn’t deserve to be on the losing side.
Eric Dier, 7 – Like Romero, rarely troubled.
Sergio Reguilon, 5 – Crossed for Kane’s first-half chance, but tried a ridiculous piece of skill on the edge of his own box that led to West Ham’s winner.
Oliver Skipp, 7 – Made countless interceptions, but didn’t do enough in possession.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, 5 – He’s looked good in recent weeks, but very sloppy here and gave the ball away an awful lot.
Tanguy Ndombele, 6 – Played one excellent pass through for Son, but contributed to little after that.
Lucas Moura, 5 – Saw plenty of the ball, but did little with it.
Son Heung-min, 4 – Missed a great first-half chance when Ndombele played him though, but showed little after the break.
Harry Kane, 5 – Saw his header saved Lukasz Fabianski when he should have scored, but was anonymous in the second-half and failed to challenge Antonio for his goal.
Substitutes:
Bryan Gil, N/A – Not enough time to make an impact.
Giovani Lo Celso, N/A – Couldn’t get anything going.
Steven Bergwijn, N/A – Came on in stoppage-time.
