Nuno Espirito Santo has named his starting XI as Tottenham are back in pre-season action at League One outfit MK Dons on Wednesday night.

Santo’s men, who’re return to Stadium MK for the first time since hosting Watford in the Carabao Cup, have drawn with Leyton Orient and beaten Colchester in their opening two friendlies.

With first-team players now proving their fitness with every passing week, the Spurs boss has been able to hand Matt Doherty and Sergio Regulion their first minutes of pre-season, whilst Hugo Lloris and Ben Davies have returned following their international duties at Euro 2020.

Meanwhile, Alfie Whiteman continues in goal, with Joe Hart expected to depart, whilst Japhet Tanganga and Cameron Carter-Vickers make up the defence.

18-year-old Nile John gets another chance to impress, and is paired with Dele Alli, who captains the side, and Oliver Skipp in midfield.

Moving forward, Steve Bergwijn and Lucas Moura start for the third game on the bounce, and join Heung Min Son, who’s fresh from his goal and two assists against Colchester.

There’s no Eric Dier or Harry Winks, whilst Tanguy Ndombele is yet to feature in pre-season and misses out once again.
