‘Scratching my head’ – Hoddle admits bewilderment at Tottenham decision

0 6

Glenn Hoddle has admitted that he has been left puzzled by Tottenham’s exorbitant ticket pricing for the match against Aston Villa.

Barring a small window at the start of December, the entire Premier League campaign has been played behind closed doors due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

However, it has been confirmed that up to 10,000 fans would be allowed to attend each club’s final home game of the season.

Some lucky Spurs fans will thus have an opportunity to be in attendance at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to witness the Lilywhites take on Villa in their penultimate game of the season on Wednesday, May 19.

Tottenham announced last week that ticket prices for adults would be a whopping £60 for the match against Villa on top of a booking fee.

This announcement did not go down well with the fans, some of whom accused the club of trying to rip off loyal supporters.

Regarding the development, Hoddle told BT Sport (a relayed by The Daily Mail): “The ticket scenario, I’m scratching my head at who’s made that decision.

“Give a gift back to your fans.”

Spurs Web Opinion

Tottenham have completely failed to read the room before making this decision on the pricing. At a time when the fan base seems to be extremely upset with the club’s hierarchy regarding the ESL debacle, this was a great opportunity for Spurs to make amends.
