She looks a bit daft at the moment but fair play to her for sticking her neck out to get something done. The people living closest to the road are in a perilous situation there. If a lorry jacknifes outside those houses, there'll be a disaster movie in the making.
When you think that the collector road past Chelmsley and Smiths Wood is 50 MPH down the dual carriageway section, it just doesn't make sense to leave that limit at 70. It lowers to 60 after the A45 when you're out in the sticks so why it's 70 through the residential stretch is beyond me.
I use the road most days and it can be a bit barmy on there. With the increase of HS2 heavy goods vehicles using it, it's only going to get worse.
