Maidstone United Youth: apply for 2021/22 season

0 4

Maidstone United will be hosting a series of youth football trials ahead of the 2021/22 season.

Trials will be held at the Gallagher Stadium this summer and be overseen by the club’s coaching staff.

Applications are now open for those who would like the chance to sign for the Stones.

This application form is for teams from under 7s to 18s. Trial information for Maidstone United U23s will be announced soon.

Anyone interested in joining Maidstone United Raiders, the club’s PAN disability section, can email Lorraine Humm.

Youth football is a major part of Maidstone United and it was players from a club youth team that made up the first team squad when the club reformed in the early 1990s.

During those wilderness years away the county town, it was our youth sides, playing on local park and school pitches, that kept the flag flying for Maidstone United in Maidstone.

Over the years, several players have gone on to have successful professional or semi-professional careers. We are immensely proud that Manchester United and England defender Chris Smalling played for our youth, reserves and first team before moving into the professional game with Fulham.

Stones youth also brought us Alex Flisher and Tom Mills – two of the most popular players to have ever donned our black and amber strip. A recent success from the youth set-up is Max Sutton. The 17-year-old has signed for the first team, having played for the club since under-8s.
