0 16

National League club Woking have confirmed that manager Alan Dowson and his backroom staff have put pen to paper on new deals.

Dowson, assistant manager Ian Dyer, goalkeeper coach Matt Winter and coach Martin Tyler have all agreed deals that will keep them at the club until the 2023.

The Cards currently sit in nineteenth place in the National League table and have confirmed that Dowson is “looking to build a full-time side for next season”.

After signing his new contract, Dowson told the club website: “I am delighted to stay at Woking.

“It has been a hard season without supporters, but we are already building for full-time football.”

Woking director John Katz described Dowson and his coaches as “the perfect gaffer and backroom staff” as he looked forward to a period of change at the club.

He said: “Dowse, Ian, Martin and Matt are the obvious choices to lead the club moving forward.

“With full-time football and a playing budget built to compete with the top clubs in the Conference heading into next season, we have the perfect gaffer and backroom staff to restore our Club’s proud heritage and to bring glory back to the Laithwaite.”
