The North London derby is always a special occasion for both sets of players involved, irrespective of where Arsenal and Tottenham are in the league table.

Few players understand the meaning of the rivalry between both teams better than Harry Kane, who has been at the Spurs academy since the age of eleven.

The striker has a brilliant record against Tottenham’s old enemy and it is clear to see how much the game means to him based on the sheer delight on his face each time he finds the back of the net against Arsenal.

Kane has admitted that he is especially excited for Sunday’s clash since it is the first time since March that some Spurs fans will be allowed back into the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

With London designated in Tier 2 of the Government’s COVID-19 restrictions, 2000 lucky fans will be in attendance to watch Jose Mourinho’s men take to the field against the Gunners at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadiun.

When asked about having fans back at the stadium, Kane told BBC BBC Radio 5 Live’s Headliners Podcast: “I think as a goal scorer there is no better feeling than running to the fans and seeing their faces cheering and everyone off their feet.

“In certain parts of the game whether you’re winning or losing, you look around and thrive off that atmosphere and people pushing you on to run or tackle or score.

“I miss that part and experiencing it with the fans so I’m really looking forward to having them back.

“I know it starts off with a small percentage of fans to begin with but I guess the North London Derby is the perfect game to get a few back.”
