“Gotta be on TV” – Some fans react to Spurs’ FA Cup third round draw
Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to social media to react to the outcome of the FA Cup third round draw which has just taken place.
Spurs enter the competition at this stage, along with the rest of the Premier League and Championship clubs.
The draw was made a short time ago and saw Tottenham allocated the number 39 ball where they were pulled out of the hat to face Marine away from home.
The non league side currently plies their trade in the Northern Premier League Division One North West.
The tie will take place at the Marine Travel Arena across the weekend of January 8 and 11, 2021.
Tottenham’s last taste of success in the competition came in 1991 when Terry Venables’ side beat Nottingham Forest 2-1 at Wembley courtesy of a Paul Stewart goal and Des Walker putting through his own net.
Here is what some of the North London faithful had to say about the draw.
Spurs away to a Non-League side, the glamour of the FA Cup! Joking aside, massive congrats to Marine, opportunity of a lifetime for them this game, hope they relish the moment #COYS

Great draw for Marine. When a non-league side get to the third round of the cup, it’s always great to see them draw a big team. No issues for us to qualify (you’d hope…). Great chance to play a second string side and rest players as well. Pleased with the draw.

8th tier Marine FC away in the FA Cup 3rd round!
What a draw! The lowest ranked side left in the completion against the current top team in the country. #EmiratesFACup #facupdraw
