Report: Tottenham could add new stadium feature ahead of fans’ return next month
Spurs fans could be allowed to order food from the comfort of their seats at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium when fans are allowed back next month, according to Football.London’s Alasdair Gold.
The UK Government announced on Monday that spectators could be allowed back inside Stadia across the UK from December 2 in a reduced capacity (Daily Mail).
It was reported that up to 4000 Spurs fans could be allowed back for home games, starting with the North London Derby, depending on what tier London falls into with respect to the spread of COVID-19 cases.
Tottenham have announced a loss of £63.9m in the year ending June 2020, partly due to the loss in matchday revenue and Daniel Levy projected a potential loss of over £150m if the rest of the season is also played behind closed doors.
It now looks as though Tottenham will be doing their best to make up for the loss of revenue when fans are allowed back in next month, with the club potentially allowing fans to order food from their seats.
Gold revealed that the Spurs official mobile app has indicated that such a feature would be in place next month.
