Journalist claims Mourinho wants defender to stay at Spurs despite speculation

Football.London’s Rob Guest has admitted that Jose Mourinho does not want Serge Aurier to leave Tottenham before the transfer window shuts.

Aurier has fallen down the pecking order since the arrival of Matt Doherty, with the Ivorian starting just one of Tottenham’s first five matches of the campaign – the 3-1 Europe League win over Shkendija in North Macedonia.
