Club Statement: Jon Reed

Farnborough Football Club announce that Assistant Manager Jon Reed has taken unlimited leave with immediate effect, due to personal reasons.

Manager Spencer Day explained: “I am gutted to be losing Jon, not only as part of our team but as someone who has become a close friend over a number of years, but I totally understand and support his decision. Family must come first, especially with the Covid pandemic where we all have to realise where our priorities lie.

“On top of that we must not forget the commitment he’s put into Boro by travelling from the Dunstable area three times a week, as well as trying to juggle his business with the constant risk of 14 day quarantine if anyone gets Covid around him.

“I’ve told him to take as much time as he needs and hopefully we will see him back in due course.

“Jon has been a fantastic asset and friend to the club and we are so grateful for everything he does.”
