A gritty game that saw plenty of players down and a missed Miami PK ends with the Union picking up 3 points.

90+9’ - Final whistle! Game ends at 9:37.

90+7’ - GOOOOOAAAAALLLLL! Aaronson picks off the pass and dribbles up the left side into the center of the 18 yard box and hammers it home. Union up 3-0

90+4’ - Union doing well to eat up the stoppage time.

90’ - My gosh.... there will be at least 9 minutes of stoppage time and Miami keeps threatening on offense.

89’ - Aaronson with a miss touch and Higuaín sends it to the far past and no one is home.

88’ - Miami keeps passing it backwards and around the center circle as they look for an angle to attack.

86’ Union Subs in Matt Real for Kai Wagner.

85’ - Miami called offside and there are three Union players down on the pitch.

78’ - Andrew Wooten is brought on for Sergio Santos.

76’ - First game and Gonzalo Higuaín lines up to take the penalty shot. The lineup and he hits it too hard and it goes right over the crossbar. Now after a taunt Gonzalo Higuaín is getting in the face of several Union players.

75’ - Play is stopped as we have a VAR replay on a possible Penalty Kick for a handball in the box. Handball is confirmed agains the U.

74’ - Thr.... nope saved off the line. Union took way too long to shoot that.

73’- Plenty of sloppy clearance attempts from the Union .

69” - SUPER SUB GOAL!!!! Aaronson dribbling from the right to left passes it off and Kacper Przybyłko crosses it low and infront of the goal. That is where Ilsinho just taps it in to make it 2-0.

69’ - Miami is subbing out Reyes and replacing him with Dylan Nealis

68’ - Play is once again stopped as Andres Reyes is once again down on the pitch. The second time in less than 10 minutes.

63’ - Off a Miami corner kick we get a head to head collision between Glesnes and Reyes.

62’ - After a quick restart by Miami, Sweat gets a shot off and Blake stretches out and dives to make the save. Now Martinez is down on the pitch and the trainers are looking at his shoulder.

60’ - Training staff is coming on for a downed Fontana. Who is getting replaced with Ilsinho.

58’ - Union with plenty of numbers forward, tries to cross it from the right side of the net and it goes to far as no one is there to be on the receiving end.

57’ - Miami looking dangerous as Ben Sweat gets a right footed shot off at the center of the box and it gets deflected.

55’ - Santos shot is blocked and Aaronson just missed getting on the end of the rebound. Union still up 1-0.

54’ - Miami tries to send the ball forward but it is too long and goes out for a goal kick.

53’ - Both teams number 8s are addressed by the Ref.

47’ - Sergio Santos has entered the refs book after going for a ball against Miami’s Leandro Gonzalez Pirez, who spent some time down on the pitch.

45’ - Game resumes at 8:43. Union now attacking towards the River End.
Inter Miami did make a change at the half bringing Robbie Robinson in for the injured Juan Agudelo.

45+4’ - Ref Elton Garcia refused to blow the whistle while Agudelo was getting looked at. Instead allowed him to get looked at, had him get off the pitch then after Blake kicked the ball blew the whistle. Halftime starts at 8:28.

45+2’ - Play continues as Miami’s Juan Agudelo is down at the senter circle. The replay shows him grabbing his hamstring as he goes down.

45’ - We will have at least 2 minutes of stoppage time.

41’ - Union with the numbers, Fontana with a heavy touch towards Santos has the man chasing it down. Union earn a free kick, which is kicked to the far post and cleared out.

30’ - Wagner switches the play from the leftside of the pitch to the right, Mbaizo crosses it into the box and the shot is saved.

29’ - Main camera now has a new friend on the camera. After Aaronson is taken down the Union have a free kick from the rightside, it is cleared by Miami after it was headed down in the penalty area.

28’ - Wagner turns and burns Figal... twice! Aaronson tries to get a shot off but it is wide.

25’ - What a GOAL from Anthony Fontana!!! As he was dribbling away from the goal he drills it to the upper right corner.

21’ - Santos is back down on the pitch after taking an “accidental” elbow to the face.

20’ - Miami’s Figal is out wide on the right side of the net and crosses it to the team’s new DP Gonzalo Higuain who tries a bicycle kick and it goes off the post.

18’ - Good chance here for the Union as Santos beats Reyes to the ball and draws Robles off his line. However, it was all for nothing as Santos is ruled offsides.

17’ - Union in the attacking third and switched sides, but as they tried to dribble into penalty area it is easily picked off.

10’ - Great setup from Satos who was on the far touch line and gets it to Fontana who was just above the arc and dribbles into it, passes it to Monteiro... who waits just a little to long to shoot and its easily saved.

8’- Monteiro tunrns the ball over near the center circle. Turns into a corner kick from the right side of the net. Played towards the near post and the U clears it out.

6’- Rain is coming down harder now as you can clearly hear it hitting the broadcast mics.

5’ - Oh man Miami gets away with one as Andrés Reyes is shown just a Yellow on his foul to Santos.

3’- Play resumes with a drop ball to Andre Blake.

2’- We have a stoppage in play as a Miami’s Ulloa is still on the pitch after a 50/50 header.

1’ - Kickoff in a rainy Chester. Game got underway at 7:38 PM.
