It's a New Year: the State of the Forum

So, I was meaning to post this anyway, but since I just got some (now deleted) trenchant criticism, I thought now would be a good time to post.

I'll just start off by saying that anyone that wants the job of being mod can have it. I'm not wedded to this. There are two cool perkls to being a mod: I can see the posts that a user deletes. Sometimes they are pretty interesting, but usually posts seem to be deleted because of bad formatting or somebody hit the enter button by mistake. And...
