But that pressure makes it easier for him to explain why he didn't hit whatever targets he's been set (presuming he misses them), he can easily turn around and say that they didn't give him the players. Even Rooney has used the "they didn't give me the players" excuse in interviews since his debacle at Blues. Makes things much easier for Davies in future interviews if he starts talking about it now.
